Sad Love Story of a Deer

Oh dear, I miss you

Here I am, taking one breath after another

Sinking deep into my heart

Far away on a lonely planet.

I see a twinkling star.

Reach my hand out, touch it,

Fall apart.

I breathe in stardust,

Dissolve into the universe

Fall apart, fall apart

Fall down on the earth

As a deer

On the ground,

In the forest, I take one step after another.

I run, I run.

The seasons change one after another.

I run, I run.

In the snow, my footsteps sink into the ground.

One step after another,

I run, I run.

There I see blood drops in the snow.

I know it’s you.

I follow the traces leading me to you.

Bow and arrow, smeared in blood.

I lick the arrow and know it’s you

Even though I know you through another face.

I follow the blood,

Follow the blood,

On the white. Melting deep, deep inside.

And there you are leaning against a tree

Still warm, breathing shallowly,

Freezing fingers, ice on top.

There you are.

I lick your face,

Yes, it’s you,

Yes, it’s you.

Though I know you through another face.

You fell down arching on the wall,

Trying to set your goal.

Then you fell from the wall,

Hit the ground,

Fell apart, hit your knee, hit your head,

Blood all over the night.

You lean against the tree.

Touch my fur, I am warm.

Touch my fur, feel me.

Do you remember how we were riding in the old times?

I take you on my back

Ride you far away

To the next place

With care.

There I leave you in front of a doorbell,

Farewell my love, farewell
